Europe 2021: Greta Thunberg and Luisa Neubauer on international climate change action

For the first time, Der Tagesspiegel, DIE ZEIT, Handelsblatt and WirtschaftsWoche invited to a joint start of the year »Europe 2021« to discuss which homework we urgently need to tackle in Europe in the next demanding year 2021 - from strengthening democracy, the digital sovereignty of the continent and a common European internal market until our climate protection goals are met in the year of the UN climate conference in Glasgow.


She told the European Economic and Social Committee plenary session that “we are school striking because we have done our homework” on the dangers facing the Earth.

She says the reports the UK government publish saying they are reducing emissions are not including emissions from travel and trade. Ms Thunberg was responding to a recent UNICEF report that says almost half the world's children are living in countries classed as being at extremely high risk of climate change impacts.
